It's going to take a bit to fully process the notion that The Criminal has picked noted sex trafficker Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz as his supposed "attorney general." It seems like only yesterday Republicans put John Ashcroft in the post, a man who proceeded to cover up the Justice Department's semi-nude statue "Spirit of Justice" during press briefings because stone-based nudity was a bit too spicy for his blood.
Trump's new attorney general, assuming Republicans roll over like gutless cowards because that's all they are, would have the distinction of being perhaps the first "attorney general" to have shared sex tapes of his (possibly underaged) "dates" with colleagues on the House floor.
Well, let's get on with some reactions.
I think I speak for everyone when I say: Please shut up, Susan Collins.
Shut up, Chuck. Oh wait, he did. Keep shutting up, Chuck. You could stop the nomination anytime you want so unless you find your spine sometime between now and January, shut up.
In the history of shutting up, there has never been a person in such dire need of it as Chuck Todd is on any given day of the week. Todd should especially shut up rather than put more evidence behind the already-widespread public suspicion that media companies wanted Trump to win and were tilting the playing field to help Trump win because they thought the resulting chaos would Earn Them Money.
Hey, remember the House Republican who blasted Gaetz for sex tapes and other grotesqueries? That one just up there a bit? Guess what.
What a gutless coward. Anyone who "completely trusts Trump's decision making" after Trump goaded a mob into attacking Congress and got himself convicted on 34 felony counts is a fool, and you know what they say about fools and what they should be doing with their mouths.
Meanwhile, check out Captain Sedition over here:
All hail Dear Leader and Dear Leader's pedophiles, eh fella? Well, you can't say Republicans aren't consistent. It's a bit unclear why Trump didn't just nominate Dennis Hastert to the attorney general spot, but maybe he has a different slot in mind for Dennis.
You know Republicans would back Dennis Hastert for a new administration position. It's not even in question. Massie would absolutely, for certain tell people to "suck it up" when they complained about his support for a convicted longtime child abuser.
As for Massie's confidence, the sedition-backing pervert enabler seems to be referring to an overtly fascist move in which The Criminal would simply ignore the Senate confirmation process by .. adjourning it. Poof. Just like that.
House Speaker Mike Johnson would sex traffic as many children as you needed him to in order to give Trump another fragment of power, and Johnson would hold up a cross and say that Jesus told him to do it because this m-fer is among the nastiest sedition-backing freaks in the House. Thune? Thune's just a coward. There's an even more alarming interpretation that suggests that if Trump does such a thing, then maybe Congress can't reconvene unless Trump himself orders them back? Boom, done. No more Congress to worry about?
And that is how you would get your American Hitler, all legal and on the up-and-up. Whether or not Trump really has that power, Republicans could intentionally just adjourn Congress for the next 22 months or so rather than take the risk that a sex trafficking, cocaine-orgy attending known pervert might get rejected to be their next attorney general.
Because that, apparently, is what Republicans think will make America "great again."
Coach Tuberville is on team underage sex trafficking? I defy anyone, anywhere to claim they didn't see that one coming.
UPDATE: Made some edits to clarify that the "can't meet again without Trump's consent" is the sketchier part of the proposition. Republicans intentionally refusing to convene Congress for whatever period of time The Criminal needs in order to do his Crimes is, on the other hand, something his allies appear to be openly boasting of.
