Yeah. Usually when this site's quiet a few days in a row it's because I'm deep in figuring out Some Programming Thing, but not this time. This time it's straight up Covid-19, and a raging case at that. Welp.
Initial reactions: (1) Ow. (2) Owwwwww. (3) Ouch, ouch, ouch. I'm on day 4, and so far I have to say I don't recommend it. The bad news this year is that the dominant variants appear to be fairly vaccine resistant (doh); the good news is they're also milder in comparison (yay); the bad news in that good news is that if this is what passes for the milder version then ... oof.
In other news: That fundraising drive? It's going great. You've all already exceeded what I dared hope for, and while we're still small and still a long way from the dream of a fully paid writing staff, we're on solid ground now and in great shape for the future. Thank you all; keep sharing our stories and spreading the word.
Where was I? Oh, the Covid. Yeah. I'm hanging in there. Talk about whatever you want, I'll just be ... over herb ... hopefully asleet for a whole. The other writers will taco it from here for a bort.
